UFC 317: How To Watch and Full Fight Card

Wrapping up International Fight Week with a resounding bang, UFC 317 delivers a mixed martial arts spectacle to the T-Mobile Arena with a pair of spectacular title fights. In the main event of UFC 317, two previous promotional champions Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira contend for the vacant lightweight belt. Before that, though, dominant flyweight apex Alexandre Pantoja defends his throne opposite the hard-hitting Kai Kara-France in the UFC 317 co-main event.

Logging one of the most successful 145-lb runs in recent company history, Topuria opted to vacate his strap off the back of two phenomenal victories over divisional mainstays Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway. Moving up in weight to try and capture his second UFC title, “La Leyenda” will attempt to become only the tenth competitor to win two organizational championships in UFC history in the UFC 317 main event.

Coming off of a Fight of the Night-winning performance against Michael Chandler at UFC 309, Oliveira will now step into the Octagon to challenge for the lightweight belt after previously dropping it almost three years ago to Islam Makhachev. Despite being a considerable underdog heading into the contest, “Do Bronx” has made a career out of proving doubters wrong, and he will seek to do so once more on the biggest stage in mixed martial arts.

UFC 317 Co-Main Event

With his next-level stamina and grappling ability, Pantoja has laid utter waste to the 125-lb class en route to nabbing the undisputed title in 2023. Recording three subsequent defenses over Brandon Royval, Steve Erceg and Kai Asakura, “The Cannibal” will strive to continue his dominion over the flyweight category by collecting the fourth retention of his belt in the UFC 317 co-main event.

Although his eyes will remain steadfast on winning the title, for Kai Kara-France, UFC 317 will be the opportunity to avenge a previous defeat to the incumbent Pantoja. Back in 2016, the New Zealander lost to the Brazilian on The Ultimate Fighter Season 24, losing to him by unanimous decision. Now, nearly ten years later, “Don’t Blink” will look to both rectify his past loss to Pantoja while stealing his championship with another emphatic stoppage.
